SATURDAY 26th May Argyll Highland Dancing Competition In the marquee on Saturday 26th May from 10.30 a.m until 5pm a Highland dancing competition will be held featuring dancers from different age groups and skill levels from all across Argyll in this large scale dancing event Face Painting Also in the marquee will be a face painter for you to take your children along or even adults to get your faces painted to join in the yachting theme and event. |

SUNDAY 27th May Children's Entertainers All sorts of wild and whacky entertainment for kids, featuring magic tricks, balloon modelling, games and much much more. Face Painting Also in the marquee will be a face painter for you to take your children along or even adults to get your faces painted to join in the yachting theme and event. Music Music including pop music, rock and much more to make the atmosphere come alive. Teas, Coffees and Refreshments Teas, biscuits, cakes and coffee refreshments while your children enjoy the entertainment within the marquee. |

PIPE BANDS Saturday 26th May 2007 Mid Argyll Pipe Band will be playing during Saturday early evening Sunday 27th May 2007 Campbeltown Pipe Band will be playing during Sunday late afternoon. HIGHLAND DANCING
As a new event at the 2007 Scottish Series, the organisers are delighted to announce the introduction of a traditional highland dancing competition which will be held in the Marquee on Saturday 26th May. Attracting dancers from all over Scotland, this colourful display of stamina and strength where the dancers perform to the music of the highland bagpipes, will commence at 10.30am and continue throughout the day to 5.00pm Dancers will perform the four traditional Highland dances, known
as, Highland Fling, Sword Dance, Seann Truibhas, and Reel of Tulloch,
and then afterwards, four Scottish National dances know as Flora MacDonald
and Scottish Lilt as well as our own Scottish version of the Sailors
Hornpipe and Irish Jig. All the above are performed before a judge
and at the end of the day points are amalgamated before trophy winners
are announced. A visit to the Marquee is highly recommended to experience our youth
take part in the colourful segment of our Scottish heritage.
