TARBERT
HARBOUR AUTHORITY
Sailing
visitors to Tarbert, Loch Fyne, cannot fail to be impressed by the
oustanding beauty of the harbour when they first enter East Loch
Tarbert. A natural amphitheatre surrounded by heather covered hills
opens up before them. The village nestles cosily round the bay, over
which the ruined castle of Robert The Bruce keeps a watchful eye.
Tarbert is an attractive village with many interesting features, many of these
are listed in other sections of this web site, including festivals and other
local events. You may wish to time a visit to coincide with these occasions.
Vessels
with a draft up to 3.5metres have both access to the fish quay and
pontoons at all stages of the tide.
A well maintained toilet and shower facility
is available. Power and water points are strategically
located along the north pontoon system. Group visits
are welcome. Reserved berthing may be arranged by giving
advance notice.
Berthing fees are levied on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. To obtain details
of these or other harbour information, please contact the Harbour Office which
